Humanity has always taken bold and giant leaps in striding towards the path of the future. With the fusion of technology and aided man power, we are attaining new horizons in the history of science. Our generation saw the discovery of first black hole, our generation saw reusable rockets nurture, our generation saw the practical application of quantum computing and our generation is going to see all other marvels of future.
As a first step in becoming the only "known" interplanetary species and to increase our understanding in Heliophysics, several private and governmental agencies have a dynamic and lucid plan. A prominent one among them is the GATEWAY.
NASA's gateway is a scaled down; miles separated; and highly sophisticated version of the ISS orbiting the lower Earth orbit. Gateway will be a revolving laboratory around the lunar orbit that acts like a pit stop and checkpoint for researching astronauts on the lunar soil. It will also act as a fuel bunk for future missions into the deep space. So basically we are having a lunar outpost just like Independence day Resurgence movie. The gateway encloses few of the cutting edge technologies required for expanding the boundaries of science, a habitable module allowing astronauts to stay 3 months at a stretch and perform research and most importantly the ability to expand the gateway...?! Yes, you read it right. With greater inclination towards space exploration, missions to the moon and deep space is rapidly going to hike in the coming years. To make the gateway more versatile, the gateway has the ability to enable multiple dockings to the module and expand the overall structure of the module, we can add more scientific tools, machinery or even a bit of living space to the module. Pass by spaceships can also refuel here. This also eases our strategy of colonizing Mars and the planets beyond....
The future awaits us and we are going!
TO INFINITY AND BEYOND
